Ford launches special edition Fiesta Durasport on 1st anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) To mark the successful one-year run of its hugely popular Ford Fiesta, Ford India today launched the limited edition of the Fiesta Durasport, priced aggressively at Rs 6.05 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

The Fiesta Durasport, available in two colours -- Moon dust Silver and Panther Black, will be seen at Ford showrooms during the upcoming festive season in two petrol variants -- 1.4 petrol EXi and 1.6 petrol ZXi.

''Fiesta is our largest selling model that took the market by storm since its launch in November 2005. The new Fiesta Durasport is a sporty and adventurous version of the Fiesta, presenting an ideal combination of style and performance,'' Ford sales and service vice president and marketing Scott McCormack said.

Fiesta, had earlier in the year entered the Limca Book of Records for returning an average of 22.43 km per litre for petrol and 31.48 km per litre for diesel.

Ford India inaugurated last week, its new Brand@Retail dealership in Hisar, Haryana, taking its current facilities to 115 across 74 cities in the country.

The 1.6 Petrol ZXi, and 1.4 Petrol EXi Durasport comes with exclusive body graphics, leather vinyl seat covers, stylish 7 spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps with chrome surround and sporty pedals.

Ford India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, a global automotive industry leader, manufactures and distributes automobiles made at its modern integrated manufacturing facility, at Maraimalai Nagar, near Chennai.

With over 1,900 employees, the company's models include the Ikon, Fusion, Endeavour, Mondeo and the Fiesta.
