Folk singer Farida Mir's men attack press photographer
Rajkot, Oct 6 (UNI) A press photographer and cameraman were allegedly beaten up by the driver of Folk singer Farida mir and three others here last evening.
Anirudh Nakum (25), who works as a lensman for the daily 'Divya Bhaskar' and another cameraman Prakash Ravrani alleged that they were beaten up by the driver of folk Singer Farida mir and three others near Fire brigade station in Karan para area here last evening.
Farida Mir's car hit the duo's motor cycle in Karan Para area and then her men allegedly beat them.
The folk singer was angry over the photographer as he was writing against her, the cameraman alleged.
Later, both were admitted to a private hospital here. As soon as news spread, members of both electronic and print media, rushed to the hospital to enquire about their health.
They lodged a police complaint demanding immediate arrest of the folk singer and four others.
Last night, mediapersons staged a dharna in front of the bunglow of Farida mir and demanded her immediate arrest.
Police, later, conducted a search at her house and seized the car.
However, Farida mir and her supporters managed to escape, police said.
