Dengue death toll in Punjab rises to five

Ludhiana, Oct 6 (UNI) One person today died due to dengue in Punjab, taking the death toll in the state to five.

Three deaths have occurred in Ludhiana, where one Puran Singh breathed his last this morning. The two other victims of Ludhiana were identified as Rajesh Bhardwaj and Sanjeev who died on September 24 and October 2 respectively, according to Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Yash Pal Singla.

Two other deaths due to dengue occurred in Ferozepur on October four.

Ludhiana alone has reported 181 dengue patients admitted to various government and private hospitals.
