Court allows Pravin to withdraw money
Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) Praveen Mahajan, held in custody on the charge of murdering his elder brother and senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, was today allowed to withdraw money from his bank account by a sessions court which also extended his judicial custody till October 17.
Additional Sessions Judge Shri Davare passed the order when special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said he had no objection to Praveen withdrawing money from his account but he could not do so without the permission of the court as he is in custody.
However, the judge directed Pravin not to sign any documents without the permission of the court in future so long he was in custody.
Pravin had signed three cheques and two fixed deposit receipts (FDRs) and gave it to his wife in the court without its permission when he was produced last month. The same were seized and kept in the custody of the court registrar but released today following the court order.

Pravin, who is lodged in the high-security cell of Arthur Road Jail, was arrested on April 22 for causing fatal injuries to his brother.
Police have already filed chargesheet against Pravin Mahajan but the court has yet to frame charges.
