Cong MLAs demand CBI enquiry into bungling of employment funds
Jaipur, Oct 6 (UNI) Congress legislators in Rajasthan Assembly today demanded a CBI enquiry into the alleged bungling of crores of rupees in the name of providing employment to the jobless.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Congress legislator Hari Mohan sharma said the government has collected Rs 15,000 each from the unemployed promising them jobs.
Mr Sharma said one NGO has collected at least Rs two crore over the past one year for the purpose but since an influential person is involved in the scam, the police are unable to proceed in the case.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore and Industry Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi said a notice should be placed in the Assembly before charging any legislator. Mr Sharma said he has not taken the name of any minister but it seems that these leaders want the name to be made public.
Congress's Mahadev Singh Khandela said that names like Vinod and Manish Sharma have come up in this case but it seems some ruling members want to defame a certain minister.
Earlier Speaker Sumitra Singh rejected the adjournment motions moved by 15 other members in this case.
