Chowrasia, Gurbaaz survive; Gangjee misses cut
Taipei, Oct 6 (UNI) SSP Chowrasia soared while Gurbaaz slipped as both managed to make the cut albeit in a contrasting fashion on a day when three other Indians, including Rahil Gangjee, fell at the half-way mark at the Taiwan Open here today.
Putting behind a disappointing round one, Chowrasia recovered well and carded an impressive three-under 69 round to advance to the round three. Chowrasia aggregates one over 145 in two rounds for his tied 42nd spot.
Fellow Gurbaaz Maan struggled with his putting and touch and played a nighmarish four-over 76 card to slip to tied 53rd postion.
Rahil Gangjee, who was runner up at the Taiwan Masters here last week, carded 73, better than yesterdays 75 but that proved insufficient and the Indian missed the cut after aggregating four-over 148.
Among the also-rans who failed to advance to the next round were, Harinder Gupta (76), Arjun Singh (74) and Digvijay Singh (77).
