BRO's "Project Pushpak" in Mizoram turns 40

Aizawl, Oct 6 (UNI) ''Project Pushpak'', raised in 1967 for the development of road network in Mizoram, the then Lushai Hills district of Asom, by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), has turned 40.

During 39 years of yeomen service to the region, BRO under ''Project Pushpak'' constructed 2962 km of surfaced all-weather roads in Asom, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram, out of which an estimated 2600 kms of road fall in Mizoram.

By virtue of untiring efforts of BRO officials, Mizoram has all -weather roads connecting all towns with the state capital.

''Project Pushpak'' was celebrating its 40th Raising Day from October five to seven.
