BJP fields Shahnawaz from Bhagalpur, Rampal Singh from Vidisha

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) Former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain will be BJP's candidate for Bhagalpur Lok Sabha byelection, while Madhya Pradesh Public Health Engineering Minister Rampal Singh has been chosen for the coveted Vidisha byelection.

The decision was taken at the BJP Central Election Committee which met this morning to finalise candidatures for byelections in MP, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa.

Ending speculations over the candidature of former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi's son Varun from Vidisha, party General Secretary Arun Jaitley said it had been decided to put up Mr Rampal Singh from the constituency.

Other nominees were Mr Pranab Kumar Verma from Koderma assembly constituency in Jharkhand, Mr Kapoor Chand Guvera from Badamalera in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Sahdev Khakha from Thalsara assembly constituency in Orissa.
