Jaipur, Oct 5 (UNI) Strongly assailing the record of the three-year old BJP regime in Rajasthan, Congress leaders today termed Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje a ''weak leader'' with no control over her own ministers.

The Congress leaders also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for her ''insensitiveness'' towards the common man's problems.

Addressing a 20,000 strong crowd at the 'Jaipur Chalo' rally here, PCC general secretary Mukul Wasnik said it was a strange situation where the Chief Minister has no control on her team of ministers.

''It seems the ministers are instead calling the shots in this government'' he said.

Terming the BJP government ''blind, deaf and dumb, with no emotions whatsoever'', Mr Wasnik, who is also incharge of Rajasthan, came down heavily on Mrs Raje, saying the BJP government was insensitive towards the common man's woes.'' Citing the recent examples of Phalna, Kama and Barmer floods where a number of people lost their lives, senior Congress leaders warned the BJP government to mend its ways before it is too late.

PCC general secretary and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said the recent incidents of Phalna, where four of a family were swept away in the flood waters while a minister looked on, the Kama incident where 45 people lost their lives after a water tank collapsed, flood and drought relief mismanagment in Barmer and Mrs Raje's insensitive utterances in the media, indicate how uncaring the state government is towards people's actual problems.

Terming the BJP government as handicapped, he said they claimed their administration and Cabinet decisions are transparent, but claimed that in reality, it was exactly the opposite. He alleged that the government did not belive in a democratic way of functioning.

On the Haj House issue, Mr Gehlot charged the BJP leaders with ''politicising'' the entire issue for their own gain and not being serious in building the Haj House.

Mr Gehlot said the BJP government denies any financial crunch but actually this government is straining under a debt trap of Rs 80,000 crore.

Congress MP Sachin Pilot, Santosh Bagdoria, RPCC chief B D Kalla and others were also present at the rally.

Later the Congress leaders met Governor Pratibha Patil and handed over a memorandum to her demanding the government be sacked.
