Three missing during immersion of Durga idol at Wagholi

Akola, Oct 5 (UNI) Three youths belonging to Hindu Yuvak Nav Durga Mandal here were either reported missing or suspectedly drown in river Poorna at village Wagholi popularly known as Gandhi Gram nearly 15 km from here last night during the immersion of idol of Goddess Durga.

According to police sources, the two youths who were reportedly missing were identified as Ganesh Jadhav of Bhagat Singh square malipura and Raju Lokhande of Khadan locality here. However, the third one was still unidentified.

In yet another related incident, 18-year-old Shaikh Javed Shaikh Rahim was reported missing when he had gone for swimming in Morna river dividing the Akola city since yesterday. He had gone for swimming but did not return, according to the missing report lodged by his father, the police added.
