Shivam, IOC sign agreement for marketing Suryaflame lp gas stove
New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Shivam Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian Oil Corp (IOC) for marketing former's high thermal efficient 'Suryaflame' brand lp gas stoves across the country.
According to the agreement the stoves, launched on October 1, will be available at all the 5,000 Indane gas distribution centres by Diwali, covering rural and urban areas throughout India, said Mr Rajiv Malhotra, Managing Director, Shivam Industries.
The product gives 68 per cent plus thermal efficiency which is higher than the ordinary gas stoves available in the market.
Shivam Industries is an ISO:9001-2000 certified company.
Suryaflame green label gas stove is certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards and is capable of saving 15 per cent lp gas according to PCRA statistics Mr Malhotra said.
The Suryaflame lp gas stoves -- available in three variants ranging between Rs 1,395 to Rs 2,195 -- will carry logos of Indane, Suryaflame and ISI to instill safety confidence among consumers.
Shivam has the installed capacity to produce 6,000 pieces per day at its manufacturing facility in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. All the components are produced in-house, Mr Malhotra added.
The company will soon introduce a Flame Failure Device, which will automatically switch off the stoves in case of any malfunctioning.
