Santosh, Dinesh to lead Indian team in Asian Jr boxing meet
New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Santosh Singh from the Services and Dinesh Kumar of Haryana will lead an 11-member Indian team at the Asian Junior Men's Boxing Championships to be held at Goa from October 9 to 16.
While Santosh Singh won the silver medal at the recently concluded World Junior Men's Boxing Championships in Morocco, Dinesh Kumar was the gold medalist at the South Asian Games in Colombo in August this year.
According to Lenny D'Gama, Organising Secretary of the Championship, 120 boxers from 17 countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Mongolia, Thailand, Iran, Malaysia and Vietnam besides hosts India, have confirmed their participation in various weight categories so far.
