Rupee gains ten paise to close at Rs 45.64/USD
Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) Indian Rupee today gained ten paise to close at Rs 45.64 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.74 per US Dollar, on account of Dollar selling by foreign banks and rise of yen globally, which led to the weakening of US dollar, a money market trader said.
Earlier Rupee opened flat at Rs 45.74 per US Dollar and in the mid morning traded at Rs 45.71/72 per USD.
The Reseve Bank of India today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.71 per USD compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.69 per USD.
The performance of Rupee against other currencies however, was mixed, against Euro Rupee closed at Rs 58.06, against Pound Sterling it closed Rs 85.94, and against Yen it was up at Rs 38.83.
