Priyadarshi Das says no scarcity of milk during festivals
Visakhapatnam, Oct 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Animal Husbandary Dairy Development and Fisheries Principal Secretary Priyadarshi Das today said there would be no scarcity of milk during the festivals Ramzan and Deepawali.
Talking to newspersons here Mr Das said last month there had been some problem when stocks were sent to Gujarat and Maharashtra when the two states were badly affected by heavy rains and floods. But the supply to consumers in the state was now normal.
He denied that the local dairy problem being faced by the Sri Vijaya Visakha dairy here in procuring and supplying the required quantity of milk, the dairy which was under the co-operative sector.
But all the dairies face the problems, he said.
He also said the two mini-dairies were being established at Anantapur and Kadapa with a total investment of Rs 10 crore, he added.
