Principal gets girl's hair cut; kin create ruckus
Kanpur, Oct 5 (UNI) The family of a girl, whose long hair was cut by her school authorities in Kanpur city today created a ruckus on the premises of the institution.
Rinki Yadav of III std at Bhagwan Shishu Sadan Mandir School went to school this morning sporting a plait.
Principal Saloni Khanna reportedly got angry on seeing Rinki's hair, longer than prescribed by the school for students, and got her hair cut.
Agitated over this, Rinki's family members rushed to the school and created a ruckus there. They also broke some furniture.
However, the Principal maintained she had no bad intention in getting the girl's hair trimmed.
''Rinki's family, despite repeated warnings, did not trim her hair, following which we had to take the action.'' Meanwhile, DSP (Kotwali) Rajesh said no party had approached the police in the matter.
