Precious metal crashes further on bearish global advice

Mumbai, Oct 5: Value of silver and gold today crashed further on bearish global advice in the opening session, traders at the bullion market said.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 17,485 Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,445, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,500.
