People's Rights Front demands strict action against Afzal supporters

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Denouncing comparison of Parliament attack conspirator Mohammad Afzal with 'Shaheed-e-Azam' Bhagat Singh, BJP leader Abhimanyu Gulati today said supporters of anti-nationals should be hanged.

Reacting to Kashmiri separatist leader Yaseen Malik's interview to a news channel, Mr Gulati said it was atrocious to compare Bhagat Singh, who gave his life for the country, with someone like Afzal who conspired to blow up Parliament.

Demanding that Malik and his Delhi 'agent' S A R Geelani be put behind bars for their support of Afzal, Mr Gulati who heads the 'People's Rights Front' claimed the government's silence on the anti-national stand of these leaders on television showed its impotence to deal with such forces.

''It was reprehensible that the government was not doing anything despite such anti-national sentiments were being spewed on television, which was being watched by crores of people, where the JKLF leader threatened of violence if Afzal was hanged.'' Mr Gulati also appealed to the President to not pardon Afzal takig in view the sentiments of millions of Indians across the country.
