OPCC gears up for coming panchayat polls

Bhubaneswar, Oct 5 (UNI) The Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) is all set to educate the party cadres about the Right to Information Act (RTI) and National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) before the ensuing Panchayat polls.

'' We have decided to conduct workshops on RTI Act at Bhadrak on seventh of October and upon NREGS on eight at Jharsuguda, PCC chief Jayadeb Jena told newsmen here.

He said All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary V Narayanswami would inaugurate both the workshops.

Congress leaders, including former Chief Minister J B Patnaik, Union Labour Minister of state Chandra Sekhar Sahu and AICC general secretary V Arun Kumar would participate in the workshop, Mr Jena said.
