Kolkata, Oct 05 (UNI) Monsoon has already started its return journey from West Bengal and is expected to be here till October 11.

The city today experienced a sunny day with no rainfall. However, yesterday heavy rains at most of parts of the city caused severe water-loggings.

The Met officials said yesterday's rains were due to a slight cyclonic circulation over gangetic Bengal, which had moved towards Bangladesh.

The weathermen have predicted a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rains at isolated places.

The adjoining parts of the state would recieve slight rains today.

''Monsoon comes with heavy rains and retreats with heavy rains and this is a natural phenomenon, so rains will be there till October second week,'' Met Warden K Sitaram said.

However, there are no signs of inclement weather, he added.

The maximum temperature toady was 34 degree Celsius and the minimum 26 degree Celsius with relative humidity 98 per cent.
