Milk prices up in Bhopal
Bhopal, Oct 5 (UNI) The Bhopal Dugdh Mahasangh today hiked prices of Sanchi Gold and Sanchi Standard by Rs 2 per litre.
''Other federations (Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Gwalior) might increase prices in the near future,'' Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation Managing Director K C Gupta told UNI.
Increase in fuel prices and a loss of about Rs 1 crore necessitated the step.
Recently, Gujarat's Amul made a foray into this state but its competition with the Sanchi brand actually benefitted consumers.
About two months back, Amul Gold, Shakti, Taaza and Double-toned prices were hiked by Re 1 per litre.
