'It was wonderful working with Naseer, Girish Karnad: Shreyas

Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, who came in the limelight with the success of 'Iqbal' and stars in the latest release 'Dor', said it was a wonderful and satisfying experience working with veterens like Naseerudin Shah and Girish Karnad from whom one could learn so much and who are good human beings as well.

Speaking to UNI, Shreyas, who has won a lot of acclaim for his performace in 'Iqbal,' said, ''We did a lot of homework for the role. We were given a CD of the most commonly used words in sign language which we used to reherse.'' Of his recent role in the film ''Dor'' Shreyas says,'' I play a 'behrupiya' who undergoes a lot of disguises. He knows he has a thin line to follow as a stranger who acts as a catalyst and helps Gul meet Ayesha in the film.'' He further said,''Especially if you are working with a director like Nagesh Kukunoor, the entire equation changes.'' Shreyas, who has done no formal acting course has done a lot of theatre in his college. He graduated from Mithibai College in 1995 wherein, he slowly moved from doing Marathi and Hindi plays to doing television in both the languages and finally to movies in Hindi and Marathi.

Even though he has done a lot of plays and films in Marathi this is the first time that he has played a central character in 'Iqbal' and 'Dor'. In 5 years he has done 25 to 30 one act plays. Some of which are ''Mahakal'' and 'Atma Nirupan Yagna'.

His future project is 'Apna Sapna Money Money'.

Like every Bollywood actor he also has his line of favorites, which include all of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films, Amitabh Bachchan starrers and the works of Madhuri Dixit like 'Tezaab', 'Devdas' and 'Hum Apke Hai Kaun'. As he puts it,''I grew up watching them''.
