Gang involved in smuggling of tiger skins busted
New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a gang involved in smuggling of tiger skins to bangladesh with the arrest of two people hailing from the neighbouring country engaged in the crime.
Ashraf and Noor Islam were arrested last night from New Ashok Nagar when they were going to Noida with a bag of Tiger skins to be sent to Bangladesh.
On interrogation they revealed that they brought the Tiger skin from Rajaji National Park in Rishikesh to be sent to Bangladesh.
Both the accused have been arrested for violation of sections 9/49/49B(1)/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 (Schedule 1-Part 1) and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, police said..
