Country Club of India plans 5 world class 'Golf' villages in India
Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) Country Club of India Ltd (CCIL) has embarked on a major initiative in establishing itself as a leisure infrastructure company with an investment of Rs 500 crore for setting up five world class 'Golf Village' properties across the country.
According to its Chairman&Managing Director Y Rajeev Reddy the investment will be spread over a period of two years.
A CCIL release issued here, quoting its Vice Chairman Y Siddharth Reddy said the proposed Golf village venture envisages five golf courses across the metropolitan India. Of this, two will be in Bangalore, one each in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai.
In this context, Australian Major&renowned Golf course Designers 'Pacific Coast Designs' director George Diakogeorgiou have been assigned to create the state-of-the-art golf courses, the release added.
''The game of golf has entered a new league in the entertainment arena with our proposed plan. The venture offering will retain the popular combination of real estate, Holidaying and Clubbing experiences adding the exclusive privileges of Golfing,'' Mr Reddy said.
