Chifley Business School offers international programmes

Bangalore, Oct 5 (UNI) Australia's reputed Chifley Business School today announced the launch of its international programmes, aimed at helping executives to upgrade their skills to middle-management level.

Talking to mediapersons here, the Melbourne-based School's Chief Executive Neil Edwards said under the programme, two distance-learning programmes -- a six-month Diploma in Business Administration and an one-year MBA -- would be offered.

He said offering distance education programmes for the past nine years, the Chifley Business School, a subsidiary of Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists, Managers, Australia (APESMA), had enrolled 4,500 Indian students, including 500 employees of noted companies like ABB, Hewlett-Packard, L and T, SAIL, Pfizer, Wipro e-Peripherals, Intel and NIIT.

Mr Edwards said APESMA had signed an agreement with the Information Technology Professionals' Forum-India (ITPF-India) for launching the business programmes, apart from promoting the career prospects of IT and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) professionals through international networking.

He said the Diploma in Business Administration was aimed at executives working in junior level management positions and the MBA programme helped executives working in junior and middle management levels to move to higher positions.
