Chandigarh bans sale of Correction fluids to kids

Chandigarh, Oct 5 (UNI) Taking a serious view of the reports of children misusing the correction fluid as an inhaling intoxicant, the local court today ordered a 60-day ban on the sale of the fluids to the minor children in the Union Territory, Chandigarh from tomorrow.

The order was issued by the District Magistrate, UT Chandigarh who noted with concern that some minors, specially school going children, were committing crimes, after using correction fluid.

''It is a matter of grave concern and the recent reports of crimes triggered by its use by juvenile delinquents, needs to be taken seriously, '' the court noted.

This order shall come into force with effect from October 6 and shall be effective upto December 4, 2006.
