Centre promises assistance to states control dengue
New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) The Union Health Ministry has assured all possible help to state to deal with dengue which has infected 2954 persons this year of which 409 were reported in Delhi where 15 people have died of the disease.
Briefing mediapersons after a meeting of the health ministers of Northern states where an alarming increase in dengue cases have been reported this year, Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said that both the centre and states would make coordinated efforts to control the disease. He assured states all possible help like fogging machines, insecticides and even financial help to meet the dengue outbreak.
The health minister called this meeting as 673 cases of dengue have been reported from Northern states of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
