AP CM to pay a three day visit to Chittoor

Chittoor, Oct 5 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will be paying a three-day visit to Chittoor district and participate various inauguration and laying stone functions beginning from tomorrow.

Mr Reddy, who is expected to arrive at Srikalahasti by a special helicopter at around 1500 hrs, would attend a private programme at Srikalahasti and by road he would reach Mahadeva mangalam here, where he would inaugurate the newly-erected 400 kv automated sub-station, which was expected to be the biggest in Rayalaseema and third in the state.

The advanced substation would supply power to meet the agriculture and industrial needs of Chittoor and Kadappa district.

After addressing a public meeting at Mahadeva mangalam the Chief Minister proceeded to Chittoor town by road, where he would participate in various programmes including municipal vegetable market inauguration, laying stone for providing amenities at cost of 11.50 crore for jaggery and mango market yard, laying foundation stone for collector's office, district police office and inauguration of arogya bhavan.

After offering worship of Lord Siddivinayaka and inauguration of Kalyanamandapam at Kanipakam in the district, on the next day he would attend the district review meeting and in the DCC members and public representive meetings, besides attending and launching various state wide programmes.

After night halt at Chittoor, he would leave for Ananthapur by helicopter on the next day morning.

However, police have made elaborate security arrangements for chief minister's visit in the district.
