7 DMK men held for poll campaign sans permission
Kancheepuram, Oct 5 (UNI) Police today arrested seven DMK partymen at Konerikuppam, near here, for undertaking local body campaigning without due permission from authorities.
Police said the arrests were made following a complaint from District Election Observor C Muthukumaraswami.
Mr Muthukumaraswami found the autorickshaw had no licence.
Besides, the campaigners had not taken permission from the police or the election authorities for the undertaking the campaign.
The police also impounded the vehicle.
