Yet another major exfiltration bid foiled in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 4 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police today foiled yet another exfiltration bid when they arrested ten Kashmiri youths who were being taken to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) for receiving arms training.
A police spokesman said the Handwara police, acting on a tip off that a group of Kashmiri youths were being taken to PoK by a militant outfit, conducted search operations at Zachaldara in the frontier district of Kupwara.
He said the police arrested the kingpin who was responsible for motivating the youths to cross over to PoK. After his interrogation, police later arrested ten youths between the age group of 16 years to 20 years.
This was the second exfiltration bid by the Kashmiri youths in the valley during the past two weeks. Earlier, a group of youths were arrested near the Line of Control before they could cross over to PoK in Kupwara.
