Windies rest on 344 losing 5 wickets

Ahmedabad, Oct 4 (UNI) Chris Gayle's 76-ball 101 helped West Indies score 344 for five against GCA President's XI in a practice match being played at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, here today.

Chanderpaul was the first to go, scoring 15 runs when the score was 23. Morton followed after scoring the next highest score after (91) when he was stumped by wicketkeeper Modi off Watekar when the visitors' score was 250. Hinds too was declared lbw on a ball from Makda when he was 61 and West Indies score was 295.

Sarwan and Samuels managed to take the score past 300. Sarwan made 37 and was caught by Patel off Trivedi while Samuels was caught by Bilakhia off Makda.
