Two youths killed by lightning

Howrah, Oct 4 (UNI) Two youths were killed and as many burnt seriously when lightning struck them at their village in West Bengal's Howrah district this evening, police said.

The two seriously burnt youths were admitted to Uluberia hospital, police added.

The mishap occurred when the four youths to avoid rain took shelter in front of a temple at Uttar Robibar village under Bagnan police station area. But lightning sturck them in which two youths died instantly.

In another similar mishap a hosue was caught fire when lightning struck on it at Biana village, also under Bagnan polcie station.

However, there was no casualty, police said.
