TN, WB moves to main draw of national ranking championship

Vijayawada, Oct 4 (UNI) Harshitha Ravi of Tamil Nadu and Suparna Das of West Bengal moved into the main draw of sub-junior girls event by defeating Liya Chacko of Kerala and Srjua Bhat of Maharashtra in the qualifying rounds of the National ranking Table Tennis Championship being played at the DRMC indoor stadium here today.

Harshitha bt Liya (7-11, 11-3, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4) while Suparna trounced Sruja (9-11,11-7,11-5,11-2) in the second qualifying round.

The other qualifiers for the main draw included S Narasimha Priya, C S Priyadarshini, T Reeth Rishya of Tamil Nadu, Antora Banerjee of North Bengal, Somali Sarkar of West Bengal and Natasha Kulkarni of Maharashtra.

Tanmoy Saha, Soumyadeep Biswas of West Bengal, Prosenjit Sarkar, Ayan Basak of North Bengal, Sudipto Mitra of Maharashtra, Muthukrishnan, Shreyas Chander of Tamil Nadu and Vivek Vardhan of Andhra Pradesh also qualified for the main draw in the sub-junior boys event.
