Three harcore CPI(Maoist) ultras nabbed, powerful landmine defused
Bokaro, Oct 4 (UNI) Three hardcore CPI (Maoist) ultras were nabbed and a powerful landmine was recovered in Jharkhand's Bokaro district in two separate raids today.
Police and CRPF under the ''operation Foothill'' in a joint operation at Dhandarwa village under Gomia police station nabbed the three hardcore naxalites who were involved in an attack on CRPF camp at Jhumra Pahar in July last. They were also invoved in blowing up of railway tracks at Dumri Bihar in Hazaribag district besides several antisocial activities, including killing and lootings, police said.
In another operation, police defused a powwerful landmine weighing about 20 kg planted at Budgadda-Lokobad road.
Superintendent of Police Aswini Kumar said the mine was implanted to attack police patrolling vehicle.
