Thomas Cook launches '100% holidays'
New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) Aiming to strengthen its position in the outbound leisure travel business, Thomas Cook India Ltd (TCI) today announced the launch of a premium holidays brand, 100 per cent holidays.
The new brand would offer international group holidays as well as the customised individual holidays products.
''100 per cent holidays will bring our holidays products into sharper focus and create a distinct identity for them. We found that as the company expands into newer product lines and geographies the corporate 'Thomas Cook' brand is being stretched across many product segments. Hence, the need was felt to create a specialised and distinct holidays brand'' TCI MD Madhavan Menon said.
The 100 per cent holidays brand will operate as a product brand under the corporate brand of the company, he informed.
Thomas Cook has a strong and well-respected franchise in both the group escorted holidays segment as well as the individual customised holidays segment and is one of the largest players in the international holiday travel market, which is growing at over 30 per cent per annum.
The international travel business contributes about 25 per cent of the revenue of the company.
