TABLE-Transparency International Bribe Payers Index
BERLIN, Oct 4 (Reuters) Transparency International (TI) released today its Bribe Payers Index (BPI), a ranking of 30 countries based on the likelihood of their companies to pay bribes abroad.
According to the survey of over 11,000 business people in 125 countries, companies from India, China, Russia and Turkey are the worst offenders when it comes to offering bribes overseas to win business.
Switzerland and Sweden rank at the top although TI said even the countries with top scores were in need of major improvement.
