Suspended IAS alleges conspiracy
Raipur, Oct 4 (UNI) Senior IAS officer P Raghavan, who was suspended yesterday by the Chhattisgarh government, today said that he was the victim of a conspiracy as he was never part of any power caucus either in undivided Madhya Pradesh or Chhattisgarh.
''I have learnt of the suspension only through media. The action was rather hasty and unworthy of being directed against a senior bureaucrat,'' he told journalists.
The Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing investigated an allegation of corruption in purchase of autorickshaws while Mr Raghavan was serving as managing director of undivided Madhya Pradesh's Scheduled Castes Finance Corporation.
A charge sheet was filed on September 29 in a sessions court in Bhopal.
Regarding the conspiracy, the bureaucrat said, ''on several occasions I informed Chief Minister Raman Singh but some pressure prevented him from doing justice to me.'' UNI AS-AC VA KN2128
