Springer signs cooperation agreement with IAS
Bangalore, Oct 4 (UNI) Springer, the world's second largest publisher in Science, Technology and Medicine sector, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), to be effective from January next.
According to a release issued here yesterday, the agreement, signed on September 30, would enable Springer to publish jointly with the IAS its ten renowned journals and provide access to its content worldwide in an online full text database on the publisher's electronic platform. Springer would also distribute the print version of the journals outside India.
The release noted that the agreement followed Springer's move in China, Russia and Central and Eastern Europe to bring high quality, non-Western scientific information to the global research community.
