Siddaramaiah takes exception to CM visiting Chamundeshwari
Mysore, Oct 4 (UNI) Former Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah today came down heavily on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for touring the Chamundeswari Assembly constituency and ''misusing'' official machinery with an eye on the coming bypoll.
Speaking to reporters after meeting Sri Deshikendraswamiji of Suttur Mutt here, he claimed that the efforts of Mr Kumaraswamy would, however, not yield results. The constituency had been electing him for long and Mr Kumaraswamy's false promises would not affect his prospects.
On the Shobha Yatra at Bababudangiri in Chikmagalur, he said the Chief Minister should take a firm decision and not yield to pressure from any quarters. He was unable to take a decision as the BJP, a coalition partner in the Government, had been demanding to hold the yatra, he claimed.
Mr Siddaramaiah said the meeting with the Swamiji was a routine one. However, he sought the blessings of the seer for the bypoll.
On the Karnataka bandh in support of the Belgaum border issue, he said the Mahajan Commission report on the issue was final.
