Sands Utility bags Rs 1.2 cr order
Chennai, Oct 4 (UNI) The city-based Sands Utility Services Private Ltd of the SANDS Group, has bagged a Rs 1.2 crore order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd in Pune Zone for downloading, analysis and submission of reports of high tension (HT) consumers.
Company CEO L R Rajagopal said in a press release here today they recruited 20 electrical egineers exclusively for the project who would supervise the downloading of reports in Pune, execute the analysis and submit reports in Chennai.
They also developed in-house electronic meter data conversion analysis report generation (EMDCARG) software through which all makes of electronic three phase meters of consumers could be analysed.
"HT consumer meter analysis is similar to ECG analysis of a human being as it contains lot of data which could be interpreted by the electricity boards for revenue improvement.
Since they have an in-depth knowledge of consumption patterns of different industries, they help the boards identify irregularities in consumption patterns and alert the officials for inspection and necessary action," he said.
Most State Electricity Boards now focus on analysis of consumption patterns as they help enhance and protect the revenue, especially in the high paying consumer category.
Company Director V Kesavamurthi said they had developed unique software solutions for electricity boards that aim at revenue improvement.
They had been engaged in spot billing in Gujarat and helped the revenue of the Gujarat State Electricity Board increase from about Rs 650 crore to Rs 850 crore in a period of 18 months, he claimed.
