Rupee ends flat at Rs 45.74/USD

Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) Indian Rupee today closed flat at Rs 45.74 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.75 per USD, on declining crude oil prices, which touched seven and half month low of US Dollar 58.45 per barrel, a money market trader said.

Earlier, Rupee opened at Rs 45.73/74 per US Dollar and in the mid morning even touched a low of Rs 45.65 per US Dollar to finally close at Rs 45.74 per USD.

The Reseve Bank Of India today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.69 per US Dollar compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.84 per US Dollar.

The performance of Rupee against other currencies however improved, against Euro, Rupee closed high at Rs 57.80(58.27), against Pound Sterling it closed up at Rs 85.72 (86.42), and against Yen it was up at Rs 38.60 (38.90).
