Quashie to miss Scotland's clash with France

GLASGOW, Oct 4 (Reuters) Scotland midfielder Nigel Quashie has withdrawn from their squad for the Euro 2008 Group B qualifier against France on Saturday because of an ankle injury.

Coach Tommy Burns confirmed the West Bromwich Albion player is also out of the clash with Ukraine on October 11.

Reading's Graeme Murty is also ruled out, as is Cardiff defender Kevin McNaughton, both have hamstring injuries.

Everton pair James McFadden and David Weir played for an hour in a reserve match yesterday and are expected to meet up with the squad later today.
