Pritam kumar Shegaonkar sworn in as MOS in Mah govt
Mumbai,Oct 4 (UNI) Mr Pritam kumar Shegaonkar,member of Legislative council belonging to RPI (A) was today sworn in as Minister of state at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor S M Krishna.
Mr Shegaonkar replaces Dayanand Mhaske who resigned as minister of state for housing this morning.
Mr Shegaonkar was elected as MLC on July 27. RPI (A) president Ramdas Athavale did not re-nominate Mhaske during the biennial elections to the upper house of the legislature.
Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh,Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil,Mr Athavale and senior NCP ministers were present at the swearing in. Mr Shegaonkar hails from Marathwada region.
He is likely to get the housing portfolio. Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh holds the cabinet rank of the ministry.
