Precious metal crashes on weak global advice

Mumbai, Oct 4: Value of silver and gold today crashed on weak global advice in the opening session, traders at the bullion market said.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 17,630 Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,630, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,690.
