No mercy for Afzal: Diggy

Gwalior, Oct 4 (UNI) All-India Congress Committee General Secretary Digvijay Singh today felt that no mercy ought to be shown towards Afzal for the attack on Parliament on December 13, 2001.

''Such a person is a traitor,'' the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister told journalists here.

Regarding Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad demanding reconsideration of the death sentence, Mr Singh said that could be Mr Azad's personal opinion and the Congress need not agree.
