No dengue threat in Uttaranchal; Health Minister.
Dehra Dun, Oct 4 (UNI) Uttaranchal Health Minister Tilak Raj Behad said there was no dengue threat in the state so far.
Mr Behad told UNI that though patients with fever has been admitted in Haldwani Hospital, no symptomsof dengue have been detected in their preliminary medical check-ups. However, as a precautionary measure their blood samples had been sent for lab testing.
One suspected dengue patient was admitted in Dehraun District Hospital but his blood test was negative.
He said separate wards have been set up in all the hospitals for dengue patients and Dengue Control Room has been established in every district.
The District Collectors have been issued instructions to arrange sanitation facilities in Nagar Nigam areas, especially in slum areas.
