No case of dengue in Punjab: Amarinder
Patiala, Oct 4 (UNI) There was no case of dengue reported in Punjab so far, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh said here today.
Refuting certain media reports regarding many cases of dengue in the state, Capt Singh said that other viral fever had similar symptoms to those of dengue and, thus, it would not be appropriate to identify all such cases of high fever as those of dengue.
He said that all precautionary measures have been taken and the fogging machines were put on work in all slums and where the possibility of breading the mosquitoes was high in the state. All the hospitals were put on high alert to meet out any threat from the epedemic which had mainly occurred in Delhi, the Punjab chief minister said.
