Nicekal and copper decline on lack of fresh demand in line with LME
Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) Nickel and copper declined on lack of fresh demand in line with London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section: copper utensils and copper heavy eased by Rs 400 and Rs 200 per quintal while brass utensils and brass cuttings fell by Rs 100 each per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.
But aluminium utensils went up by Rs 50 per quintal, on better buying support.
In non-ferrous section : copper wire bars came down by Rs 300 per quintal on increased offers by stockists.
Tin slab and Nickel cathode eased by Rs four and Rs 20 per kg on sluggish demand.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,800, Copper utensils - Rs 32,500, Brass utensils - Rs 22,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,200 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,700.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,700, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,100, Zinc slab - Rs 19,200, Lead ingots - Rs 6,800, Tin slab - Rs 521 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,850 (per kg).
