Narain confident of success in Williams FI team tourney

Coimbatore, Oct 4 (UNI) India's speedstar Narain Karthikeyan today said he was confidently looking forward to the next year's Williams F1 team tournament Talking to UNI here, he said that he was presently on the assignment for testing the new Toyota-powered car for next year.

He said the Toyota engine, which he raced last year with Jordan will help him give constructive feed back to the engineers.

Narain lauded William's decision to retain his services.

Since next season is extremely important for Williams FI with new partners Toyota, he will be able to contribute to the ultimate objective of the team that is to 'win races', he said.

Narain, who joined Williams FI this year will add a vital element of continuity to the team's test and development programme as Williams FI Forms a new technical alliance with Toyota next year.

Narain piloted the partnership's first collaborative efforts on track at silverstone earlier. This month with an interim FW 28B carrying the Toyota V8 and the New Williams gearbox, he will continue to spearhead the intensive testing programme next year with the launch of FW 29.
