More rains likely to occur within 48 hours in Tripura

Agartala, Oct 4 (UNI) The city and its neighbouring areas experienced a heavy downpour this morning with low speed wind.

However, a sunny sky in the later part of the day brought in some respite to the people.

The Met department said rain with low speed winds were likely to occur at many areas in the state for next 48 hours.

The ICAR at Lembucherra near here reported in its weather forecast, from National Centre Medium Range Forecasting, that monsoon would be active till October six and light rains might occur at one or two places.

The speed of Northeasterly wind is expected to be normal with average speed of 3 to 4 km per hour during this period.

The temparature is expected to drop by one degree Celsius during night, whereas, day temparature would remain unchanged, the sources added.
