Medical scam: HC notice to CBI

Jabalpur, Oct 4 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a public interest litigation by students urging a probe into alleged irregularities in last year's admissions to the state's private dental and medical colleges.

Chief Justice Anang Kumar Pattnaik and Justice Suresh Chandra Sinho heard the petition alleging that meritorious students were denied admission while others were admitted instead through the management quota after paying Rs 7 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.

A notice was also issued to the medical director who has to reply by October 11.
